Strategies for Literacy Tasks
At FSD Lested Hall, we have not only perfected teaching phonological awareness, we can also increase literacy levels through our teaching. Organisation of ideas, knowing what to write and grammatical accuracy are all taught in the 'FSD Way!'
Brain Training
AtFSD Lested Hall, we take Brain Training VERY seriously. We have linked highly researched practices to help improve our pupils' abilities to learn by using physical activities to improve focus, attention, orientation, processing, working memory and proprioception. This part of the FSD programme is unique and highly effective.
We don't try to fill a bucket with a hole in it!
At FSD Lested Hall, we ensure that gaps in pupil knowledge are identified, recognised and addressed. Full Alphabetic awareness is essential, but so often lacking. We can fix this.
Active Learning
At FSD Lested Hall, we enjoy beautiful, extensive outdoor facilities with dedicated areas for active learning both in class and at break times. Learning spelling has never been so much fun!
